Introducing 511DFW app
September 12, 2018
The North Central Texas Council of Governments would like to introduce the new 511DFW, a free trip planning mobile app and website just for North Texas. The mobile app and redesigned website – www.511dfw.org – is launched, and we want to make sure people know about this amazing source for real-time information on traffic and transit conditions. The mobile app is available for Apple and Android devices.
This effort has been made possible through the contributions of NCTCOG’s partners around the region. 511DFW integrates travel data from other apps – including Google Maps, Apple Maps and Waze – with data from local municipalities to provide accurate and up-to-the-minute travel information.
Upcoming Road Construction
September 11, 2018
FYI: At the July meeting City Council approved a Certificate of Obligation to reconstruct Ridgeway from Hwy 78 to Bus Hwy 78. The Public Works Department will be removing some of the worse areas and replacing with rock. This will be temporary until permanent construction begins. We will keep you informed as this projects proceeds.
Notice about Free Monthly Dump Day
September 10, 2018
This is from the https://www.collincountytx.gov/…/Pages/trash_collection.aspx website
Due to TxDOT construction of State Highway 121 around the North Texas Municipal Water District's 121 RDF landfill in Melissa, Public Works is suspending the monthly First Saturday Citizen Trash Drop-Off Day beginning August 2018. Please check this website for future updates. We apologize for any inconvenience. The landfill will still accept trash from citizens willing to pay.
